Ogun State Police Arrests Two Robbers For Stealing Batteries

The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing eight close-adherence batteries at a mast site of a telecommunications company, Etisalat Nigeria, in the Isara-Remo place of the tune.

The suspects, Bashiru Jelili and Madu Nwete, were said to have been arrested about Saturday.

According to the confess Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects allegedly sold the batteries, valued at N1.2m, to one Obinna, who was said to be not far-off afield off from the permit know.

He said, Investigation revealed that Obinna is known for receiving stolen goods in the area.

He said their efforts led to the arrest of the two suspects who had made confessional statements, adding that the stolen batteries had been recovered.

He added that the agree to in Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had directed that the suspects be charged to court considering psychiatry was concluded.
