Man Utd win UEFA Europa League

Manchester United Football Club of England won the Europa League after beating Ajax Amsterdam of Netherlands 2:0. The match was played in Friends Arean Stockholm Sweden.

Goals from World record signing Paul Pogba and fellow summer signing Henrikh Mkhitarian gives United a comfortable win over young Ajax teams.

Jose Mourinho has now won two major trophies and the Community Shield in his first season as a Manchester United Manager. The Europa League trophy also gives United automatic UEFA Cha mpions League Qualifications.

Jose Mourinho spoke of the "humble principles" behind his fourth win in a European final that also allowed Manchester United to join the select group who have claimed every trophy on offer outside the domestic game, a list that includes Ajax, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Juventus.

Amid this show of self-proclaimed humility Mourinho still found time to take aim at "the poets" (presumably pundits) who he claimed win every game they play and also take a swipe at his rivals in the Premier League.

"In a bad season when sometimes I felt my team were the worst team in the world, where I felt I was the worst manager in the world, we managed to win three trophies (the Community Shield in August being the other) and go into the Champions League by winning a trophy not by finishing second, third or fourth," he said.
Mourinho gambled on winning the Europa League to put Manchester United back in the Champions League. The fight for a place in the Premier League's top four was cast aside weeks ago as he concentrated on a competition he once derided but now offered the opportunity to win a spot against Europe's best.

"The referee and the goal referee decide not to give it," Mourinho said after the 0-0 draw. "It was a clear penalty. I don't know. The referee didn't see it? The referee decided not to give it? I think the referee was very good. I'm serious. I think he made one mistake."
